✖ DOKI DOKI! The town with the night worth one million dollars, I'll try and play with YOU! TAGS Mei Linh Wang WORDS 364 NOTES OOC; Parkour FTW! The gravel road crunched under his freshly polished shoes (thanks to his adoptive father) as he kicked around a stone that was noticeably larger than the others. It scuffed up his shoes, not that he really cared, as he continued on his way towards the main gates of the school.
Sometimes Leon preferred walking. It was much more interesting than a boring old car ride, which is how he assumed his sister got to the school before him and still had managed to ravage the town for a shopping trip.
He kicked the stone especially hard, sending it whizzing off into the underbrush that lined the road. He was getting much closer to the school grounds now, the gates were just ahead. There was the main large gate for cars and a smaller one for people to enter through.
He took neither.
Making sure his bag was securely closed and fastened to his person, Leon sprinted forward, launching into a round off and immediately jumping into a back handspring before quickly corkscrewing and gripping a low-hanging tree branch, swinging his legs forward and lifting himself up, into the branches. Hugging the trunk, he circled around the tree and working his way upwards, until the branches creaked under his weight. He moved over to the branch closest to the wall and scaled the lava rock wall, using the crevices between the rocks as hand and footholds. He made it up and over the wall with relative ease and speed, walking along the top until he could locate which building the auditorium was in.
Assuming the building where students were entering was where the orientation was being held, he lowered himself from the wall and jumped the last five feet of the fall, rolling to soften the landing. Brushing off his uniform (only moderately dirty), he made his way over to the Auditorium.
As promised, his twin stood their waiting for him, probably replying to his text. "Hey, sis." he greeted, lifting a hand in greeting. "Long time no see, huh?" He gave a slight grin before walking closer. "Looks like you haven't gotten any wider 'round the waist, at least!" Leon teased good-naturedly, chuckling quietly.

CARE ABOUT THE YOUNG FOLKS TALKIN BOUT THE YOUNG STYLE AND WE DON'T CARE ABOUT THE OLD FOLKS TALKIN BOUT THE OLD STYLE TOO — ! ❞ Her morning preparation method had been rather methodical. She had to admit to herself that she was getting rather skilled at this "looking good" routine. But would you expect less from the fashionably lucid Maysilee Wang? Of course, she didn't usually go by Maysilee, but it was her professional name. She had to use it, even with all the grumbling. People should expect her insistence of using the moniker "Mei Linh", people definitely expect her to come up with unique and beautiful outfits that made her look good. They expected her to be a certain way. And so she had. Despite having to wake up early and the rough rocking of the cruise liner when they approached the island, she had gotten everything done. Ironed hair? Check, though there is always that annoying as hell curl. Dabbed on a little bit of eyeliner to make her eyes look bigger? Check. She even avoided poking herself in the eye with the eyeliner. A bit of blush to seem more youthful? Check. Youthfulness is always recommended unless it was obvious that you were old. Ironed clothes, free of wrinkles? Check. Leather shoes? Check. They weren't exactly the most fashionable, but her leather boots and black flats were in the bags for safe keeping. And it took a while to pack everything. And it would take some strength to get all those bags into her Dorm. She looked out the window as the cruise liner docked. She hadn't seen her twin on the cruise, probably because boys and girls were separated onto different decks on the residential units, and hadn't seen him on the party/congo deck, but he was probably one of the last things on her mind. Why? Because she was waiting for the black leather seated car with the tinted windows to whisk her away on the planned shopping trip. She would have to scout the competition, figure out the trends, maybe get some stuff. She needed some intelligence. As a designer, it was one of her duties. The moment the cruise liner docked, she made a dash for the front of the line to exit. She had talked to (more like argued with) her father about these arrangements. She was both a business woman and a dreamer. Duty is duty. She perhaps made a scene when she reached the town with her reusable shopping bags that advertised Mei Fleur. And unfortunately, she ended up buying more than she gathered information. Of course. After the little adventure, she got driven up to the school. She waited in front of the Auditorium, not wishing to seem to enthusiastic by going in early. And she sat upon the bench outside the auditorium, bracing herself from all that running. She's fit and all, getting herself to do tai chi in the morning, but really... running? One does not simply run in a skirt. She then received a text from her brother. Oh dear. Really now. She most certainly wasn't fat. Tai chi and diets and cool workouts are in fashion! But of course, the self conscious young lady made sure to check that she didn't look fat on her Facebook profile or her brand page. She didn't Photoshop any of them, so she sighed in relief. "Looks like you haven't gotten any wider 'round the waist, at least!"She then turned around at the sound of the familiar voice. It is scientifically proven that brothers aren't exactly good for your self esteem. "Oi, I didn't get fat at all! And why the heck is your uniform... dirty," she grimmaced. She didn't give dirt much justice. Leon wasn't that dirty unless you counted the dirt in his mind. However, she was glad to see her brother again. Things have been awfully busy since she received that fashion design internship, after all. Hopefully he accomplished something on his way here, like get some stunt man role or got some with a girl. Knowing him, he probably didn't, but hey, at least he's here and not being an arse to father. |
