When students sign up for this class they either want to enjoy swimming, want to get away with doing very little for a required P.E. class, or the students want to check out the members of the opposite sex while they are in their bathing suits. Alexandra Karpusi stood waiting in her required suit at the edge of the pool, a slight distance away from the rest of the class. This was her first class of the day and she was a brand new student. She'd missed the entrance ceremony due to her having a modeling shoot during. She'd just skipped the event and decided to start school three days after. The teacher had yawned, done roll call, and then headed back into his office to do 'paper work'. Which meant laying his head down on his desk and sleeping for an hour. Lexi had been a bit disappointed in the teacher but nonetheless put a bright fake smile on her face and lifted her chin. She would not allow herself to withdraw into a safe 'shell' around her fellow students. No, she would act proud and introduce herself. However, she was the type to show off. She couldn't just stand in front of the line of students who were gossiping or staring off into the blue depths of the pool and say, "Hi, I'm Alexandra and I'm new here." No she needed to start the day off with a bang! The blonde looked around and stared at the diving board on the opposite side of the pool. She was rather good at swimming but diving wasn't something she really enjoyed. It was much too intense for her. She wasn't really a fan of heights. However, she wanted to make a splash, so to speak. This would be the best way to gain the attention and/or respect of her fellow students. She slowly padded towards the large diving board. The female looked up to the top and gulped slightly. She faked a confident smile and began to shakily climb the ladder that led to the top. Once her feet touched the cool, smooth surface of the board she bit her lip. It took all she could to keep the winning smile on her face and keep walking forward. When she got to the edge she raised her arm up and waved at those who were paying attention, it didn't seem like many were. She frowned slightly and raised both arms up before diving into the semi-cold water. Once the water hit her face she felt safer. A real smile crossed her features while she was under the cool water. She allowed the air in her body to push her up as she kicked off with her feet. Once she broke the surface of the pool she gasped for air and flipped her blonde hair out of her face. The jump was exhilarating. It was scary but she knew she could do it. She really hoped that she had broke the ice between herself and the others. If this didn't work, she doubted that saying 'hi' to anyone would do the trick. | [atrb=border,0,true] [atrb=valign, top][atrb=style, width:300px; padding: 10px; background:#111111, btable] i know what YOU'RE THINKING i don't need YOUR REASONS don't tell me CAUSE IT HURTS |
