Matthew Williams {Canada} Matthew Williams, also known as the nation of Canada to those select few of his kind who even took the time of day to notice him, set down a rather large and dusty storage bin with a huff. He wiped his brow with a sleeve and glanced out his living room window. It was still much too green for his tastes this time of year. There hadn't been enough snow yet and what did fall got melted my the sun within a couple days. At this rate he would be celebrating a depressingly green Christmas. Still, he could make his home as cheery as possible. He smiled down at the bin he had just retrived from his basement, along with a second one just like it. Just then he heard a knock at his front door and turned toward it. "Huh? I'm not expecting anyone. Who could that be?" He glanced toward his polar bear friend and most constant companion, but said bear was contently dozing in his favourite chair and apparently would not be adding his two cents this time. A second knock drew his attention and patting off some dust from his clothes he headed to the door to answer, already feeling guilty for keeping his unexpected guest waiting. He didn't really bother checking the side window, it was a fairly friendly neighbourhood after all, and simply opened the door. "Li Xiao?" His voice cracked a bit he was so startled to see his adoptive brother standing on his front step. "Why are you here, ah, not that I'm unhappy to see you, eh. You're always welcome, um, what I mean is, um, you wanna come in?" He stepped aside, emphasizing his offer.

Li Xiao Wang { Hong Kong } The asian approached the door, and knocked quickly. When no sounds were heard from within, Li Xiao knocked again, silently wondering if his adoptive brother was even home. His sleeves fluttered in the chilly winter wind as he waited outside under the overhang. It ruffled his dark brown hair, but he remained still. It was oddly green, he observed. Wouldn't there usually be more snow by this time of year? He brushed off the thought as he heard quiet footsteps approaching the door. It swung open to reveal the honey-colored male standing in the doorway. / "Li Xiao?" / The quiet voice greeted with curiosity laced in his tone. He stepped aside, leaving the doorway open to pass through as the asian was invited inside. "Ni Hao, Matt. I just stopped by to pay you a visit." He greeted, stepping inside the cozy home. "Actually," He began, "I was like, escaping the karaoke madness and drunk mess that my family causes around this time of year." Li Xiao removed his winter coat and hung it on the nearby rack, before removing his shoes, as to not track in snow. "I hope I'm not bothering you." He apologized.

Matthew Williams {Canada} Matt smiled, softly closing the door once Li Xiao was fully inside. "Not at all, eh. I'm happy to see you." He was always happy to welcome company. He was so often alone with only a lazy bear for company, it was a nice change of pace. He did chuckle to himself at the thought of a hoarde of drunk, rowdy Asians, something he could actually say he had seen once a while back when a group of them had decided they would spend the holiday at his house for some strange reason. He could understand why his brother would want to get away from that. Interesting "Oh, but please don't mind the mess, eh. I was just getting ready to put up my Christmas decorations." He also hadn't been expecting company so his house was a little more cluttered than it would usually be when he had guests. It wasn't a terrible really, just a few game and movie cases, maybe a glass or beer bottle or something he hadn't gotten around to clearing away. But he still felt like a slob letting people see things like that. He preferred giving as good of an Impression as possible, hoping people would visit more if he did. He led his brother deeper into the house. "Can I get you a drink or something?" He figured he might as well be a gracious host, even if his home wasn't as presentable as he might like.

Li Xiao Wang { Hong Kong } Li Xiao shrugged when Matthew apologized about the mess. "It's cool, I don't mind." He said, looking around the house casually before following the blonde further into his home. When offered a drink, the asian kindly denied. "I'm fine, thanks. But you said you were just about to like, hang up your christmas lights?" He asked, glancing around for the previously mentioned tree. "If you like," He offered, "I could help you hang 'em up, or something." Li Xiao eyed the bin of decorations that had been previously abandoned. The asian walked over to the plastic storage bin, and bent down to inspect its contents. He was crouched, his legs bent at the knees; his weight rested on the balls of his feet. His arms rested casually on his knees and he pulled the bin closer to him, lifting one of the strings of lights up. Turning to face the Canadian, he asked, "Do you normally spend Christmas alone?"

Matthew Williams {Canada} "Alright, if you're sure." Matthew met Li Xiao in the living room, having been half way to the kitchen when he's made his offer. "I would really like that, eh." He smiled and knelt down, knees on the floor to look through the bin next to his brother. "It's always so much more fun when you have someone to decorate with, eh." He frowned as some lights he was holding, wondering if they even still worked and deciding it best to just test them all out. He was just getting up to take the first string to a nearby outled when Hong Kong's question rand in his ears. "Um, well, not always, Eh. I mean, everyone's just really busy this time of year. And I'm sure that my invitation just gets lost in the shuffle." It wasn't as if they meant to forget him, after all. "And I'm not really big into noisy crowds and parties and all that anyway, eh." He tried to smile for his brother, but found it difficult, so instead kept his back to him, busying himself with untangling the string of lights he held.
