"Ah, yeah, it's nice when you have nothing in mind to paint." Rena looked down, biting her lip. "Ah, an older brother..?" She remembered her parents always talking about a brother she had over in another country when she was extremely young. Even to this day she hasn't met him. "Looking back up, Rena's big brown eyes were filled with curiosity. "That must be nice, having siblings," she commented, her voice soft.

"Yeah, it is...I suppose... I have an older sister too. She's such a crybaby..." Natalya said, taking a bite of her cracker. She had to admit, she did feel a pang of homesickness. Surely at some point she would be allowed to go and visit them, at least for the holidays, right? That would be nice...

Rena glanced down at Chica, who had fallen asleep in her arms, then back up to Natalya. "I'm guessing you're the level headed sibling then?" she asked, tilting her head a bit. She reached up to push some stray strands of hair from her face.

"....I suppose you could say that....." Natalya replied. glancing around. "Do you have any siblings?" she asked, returning to gaze to Rena. The Belorussian was still watching what she revealed, not wanting to give too much information away. Besides, why should she give away things that the other hasn't? It made no sense, right? Well, at least to Natalya it didn't...for the most part.

Rena shrugged. "My parents say I have a brother but I've never met him.. I am not sure what he looks like either." She looked down at her feet, frowning. "I wish I knew more to tell you, but that's all I know about him..."

"Ah, what a shame.... Hopefully you get to meet him soon, yes?" she asked with a very faint, kind smile. "My siblings are pretty nice to hang around...at times..." Natalya added with a small sigh. Oh how she already missed them... She pushed out of her head. No use on dwelling on such sad thoughts. "...Are you happy to be in this school?" she asked, not sure where else to make the conversation go.

NOTES TALK ABOUT WHATEVER YOU WANT~? When Mei had walked out of the Auditorium's lavatory, she was welcomed with a strange scene. One girl, who appeared Latina, was carrying a chicken. There were pock marks on the wall, as if the wall was... stabbed. A poor adolescent, probably a Fourth Year, seemed to have holes in his uniform and was retreating into the Theatre. A platinum-blonde haired girl was... putting knives in her... Bra? Now that was another use for a bra. Mei would have to write that down for an article she had been doing research for... 100 Uses for Breast-Holding Lingerie.
Now then, why would this scene occur? It was peculiar, really. Let's try and avoid it first... let's go take a bite out of that pita bread, shall we? Mei walked over to the refreshments table, tempted to go investigate. Her eyes constantly shifted to the weird pair. |

Natalya quickly readjusted the knives in her bra. Wouldn't be good if she were to get cut, huh? She glanced over and saw a Taiwanese girl glancing over every so often. 'This nothing of it and all will be fine Nat....' she mentally told her self, returning her gaze to Rena as she waited for the girl's response.

Arthur was determined to have a fine start to the school year. And he wanted a peaceful one- one that was drama free. But... it had only been a few minutes upon entering the auditorium that his dream was shattered.
He had been sneaking a quick snack when he heard commotion from the other side of the table. A boy had been pinned to the wall by knives. Eyes widening, Arthur shoved the rest of the food up his mouth- not the best choice of his life- and watched with horror.
All seemed normal for a moment or so when the girl removed the knives and casually talked to another student. But regardless of that, Arthur was afraid that the student would cause trouble at school...
Walking over as the conversation seemed to be at a momentary silence, he tapped on the girl's shoulder. "I apologize for bothering you. But I don't believe weapons are allowed in the school."

Rena nodded, looking up and now smiling. "Hopefully, I will be able to meet him one day, even if it's just a short amount of time. I do like this school so far. It's so grand, and I'll probably learn a lot here."
Rena glanced at Arthur shyly, her brown eyes quickly moving back to the ground. She decided to be quiet now, just until he maybe left. This student was a second year, she could tell just by how young he looked. She held Chica closer to her stomach, the chicken dozing off in her arms.

Natalya fell silent as she turned around. She narrowed her eyes slightly at the young man, not at all pleased with his...meddling. "I'm sorry, but I don't see how this concerns you. And I don't see why they wouldn't let me have them. They're for...self defense. Surely they wouldn't deny me of my peace of mind, yes? And I thank you for your kind words of advice, but I am more than sure I can look out for myself," she simply stated, resisting the urge to pull out one of her knives and point it at the Brit. Man did she really dislike people...especially men... They're just annoying thorns in her side, that they are. And what did this man think he was, interrupting the conversation she was clearly in the middle of? Oh well, at least she'll let him off the hook this time, since he is younger than her... She turned back to face Rena without another word, showing that she no longer wished to speak further on the topic of whether or not she was allowed to carry her knives.

Arthur forced a smile on his face. He truly didn't want to start off badly. But even if his facade was calm, his anger was not, and the words that came out of his mouth were not as gentlemanly as he tried to make them.
"Once again, I apologize. But in a school like this, there is no self-defense necessary. And how is self-defense pinning a student to the wall?"
Well, that wasn't very smooth. Trying to make the smile a little more natural, he focused on building his reputation back.
"I was merely worried that such weapons would surprise the students. It had not fared well at my previous school."

Natalya forced a smile to her face as she turned to the man again. "Not necessary? How would you know? No one knows for sure unless they could see the future, yes? Besides, as I stated before, currently I am carrying them for my peace of mind until it's necessary to use them for self defense. Is that not a good enough reason? Besides, people do it all the time, no?" she asked, picking up another cracker from the table. "And that instance I admit it wasn't self defense... I'm sorry that I'm not too fond of people who keep trying to get my attention. I suppose you could say it was just a warning not only to him, but to others who may have been watching. I'm not the kind of girl who goes around, throwing my knives without any purpose," she went on.
Natalya took a bite of her cracker, wishing the other would leave already. "And I suppose they would surprise other students, but I would expect a gun would surprise them even more. Never know if the person who welds it is trigger-happy. And it doesn't matter to me if it didn't fare at your last school or not," she added, glancing at Rena.

Arthur's smile was starting to crack.
"But your logic is flawed. If everyone carries it around for such "self-defense", then this school would be nothing but danger. Anyone at any given moment could whip out a weapon. It is only appropriate to put them away first so that others will follow."
Arthur couldn't tell how old this female was. She was either in her second or third year. If Arthur knew that she was a third year student, he would have been slightly more respectful. But he was annoyed, and worried that this student would be one of the gits to ruin the school's safety. And besides, what about his pride?
"And even if you didn't like having males interested in you, there could have been a better way to show it than scarring one."

Rena looked up, suddenly worried that this would become a fight. "H-hey, we should probably try not to fight... If the headmasters decide to let her keep it, that would be fine! Um.." She bit her bottom lip, looking down quickly. Avoid such things was easier when you weren't a bystander. The poor girl couldn't even begin to think of a way to make it all better. "W-we don't have to start off badly.. U-uh, we might become friends in the future.." She looked away, knowing what she said was probably extremely stupid and useless in this situation.
