Natalya's smile faded. She's had just about enough of this guy all together. "I never said everyone does it, now did I? I just said people in general. It doesn't mean I was talking about anyone here, no? And besides, I don't plan on using them often. Just keep a few on my person and go on with my day. Would you rather I just knife everyone I see if you have such a problem with me simply carrying them around and using them when I see fit?" she asked, tilting her head slightly. She could feel one of her hands clench into a fist. Oh, she was not happy...
"Scaring them just means they'll leave me alone for good. I don't want to waste my time on them. Now why don't you be a good little boy and run along before I end up blowing my temper. And trust me, that wouldn't be a good thing..." she said, her fake smile returned as she faced Rena again. She hoped the girl would help her out of this small argument, since the Belorussian was sure that she would end up knifing the boy to the wall. Perhaps she could excuse herself just long enough to see what her cards have in store for the kid... Yes, that seemed like a good thing to do at the moment. Well, at the current moment it did.

Arthur raised an eyebrow, his trademark scowl on his face. "And so this means that you believe it is fine for you to harm anyone that annoys you? Or simply knife everyone due to a single conversation?"
He had an urge to smirk and ask the female if she would knife him as well. But no, he was supposed to be changing... Breathing in, he forced the smile once again.
"Another word of advice is to stop scaring students. There are other more reasonable ways to deal with them. Your annoyance does not mean that they have to face an emotional trauma. Perhaps it doesn't matter to you, but thinking rationally, did you consider the consequences? That perhaps these students are afraid of being hurt?"
Arthur wanted to continue arguing, but he could tell the female was upset. And it would be foolish to fight an armed person. So he would leave. But not without any last words.
"An apology to you once again. But if this is what you consider fine behavior... well, in that case, I am afraid that I cannot be the "good little boy" you ask me to be. I hope to see you again."
And with a mocking bow, Arthur Kirkland stepped away.

Rena's wide brown eyes had been darting between the two during the conversation. "A-ah, w-what just..." She watched the other student leave, wanting to call after him and maybe see if they all could solve the problem. She glanced down at her chicken, sighing sadly. "Well, that could have been better.." she whispered.

Natalya didn't even bother to look at the Brit or even respond to him. She just simply ignored him until he began to leave. "...Fucking underclassman...waste of my damn time...bunch of idiots..." she muttered. She was never one to curse, but this was one of those few moments she did. She looked at her half eaten cracker and sighed. That argument ruined her appetite. Just what she needed... "Back to before we were interrupted, I hope that seeing your brother won't disappoint you if you find out he isn't what you'd thought he'd be..." she said to Rena, examining her cracker. Too eat or not to eat, that was the question.

Rena looked at Natalya, nodding, trying to stay positive. "Ah, yeah, I hope so too.." She smiled slightly, then looked to where the other student had walked away. She didn't know how the conversation they had was able go down hill so quickly. Maybe this was a good thing, coming to this school. It was obvious that she needed to understand social interactions a lot more.

"I'm sure everything will turn out for the best," Natalya said. Of course, she couldn't be sure unless she looked to one of her many...instruments. Of course, she wouldn't pull those out. Oh no, those weren't meant for random people to see out the corner of their eye. Her knives, why not? But those possessions, not a chance. "...What are you looking forward to the most in this school?" she asked.

"Ah yeah." Rena smiled, tilting her head slightly. "Ah, what I'm looking forward to the most...? I think it would be the chance to meet others from other countries." She nodded, double checking her answer. "What about you, Natalya?"

"Hm... Probably being away from all of those idiots back home..." Natalya replied after a while of thinking. Then again, now she's surrounded by different idiots... Oh well, at least she didn't know most of them. "Hopefully everyone here isn't as bad as the ones back home..." she sighed.

NOTES TALK ABOUT WHATEVER YOU WANT~? Was that Englishman... trying to correct the girl? The platinum-blonde haired female seemed a bit, well, difficult to deal with, but to try to reckon with women wasn't always the best idea on the world. Mei knew her father learned that the hard way.
Still, it was a relief the young man wasn't knifed. Though Mei enjoyed watching the occasional Bruce Lee movie, violence wasn't something she advocated because of the violence she'd seen in the rough Chinese streets. But those little slaps and punches in Asian dramas were very welcomed. Mei enjoyed gossip and drama. Physical violence... to an extent.
Her glance went back to the Belorussian. What... was she? This wasn't exactly Mei's first year at Accademia Mondiale, and from last year, she had never seen the Belorussian. Which country did she come from? She seemed like a northerner. She was pretty, but if only she were approachable... she seemed rather fashionable as well. If the Belorussian hadn't been so suspicious with the knives, if Mei didn't get out of the bathroom at the time she did, Mei would have probably approached the girl and would have complimented the perfectly neat hair accessory or the stockings that made the uniform look better than it already did.
But of course, Mei was stunned. He freaking bowed. Like her father. Adoptive father, to be exact. Definitely a Brit. And definitely not good with women, by analysis. But hey, if he could stand up to a potential psychopath, he had to be commended on that.
Mei took a bite out of the baklava (obviously out of place on a predominantly Italian/French layout) and watched as the Brit came towards the table. She took a glance at him and back at the baklava.
"I think I've had you in... hmmm... English last year, correct? Arthur, right? Nice way to deal with her, but do you even know her? I haven't seen her around last year, she seems new..." Mei asked, trying to start some conversation. |

Rena blinked. "Ah, that would be a good thing for you, Natalya." she answered softly. She pushed hair from her face, her brown eyes glancing around the room. The only student she had talked to so far was Natalya, and there were sure to be many other students she could end up meeting.

"Yeah.... Just as long as they don't mess with me, I won't mess with them," Natalya said, finished the cracker she neglected. "So...what do you want to talk about now?" she asked. She didn't exactly wanted the conversation to end, since it would mean that she would end up talking to someone else. Natalya turned her gaze to the kitchen. It just stared back, uncaring. The Belorussian looked back at Rena. "You have any hobbies?" she asked.

"Ah, hobbies? Well, besides painting, I like to cook desserts." Rena tapped her cheek, thinking. "I plant different fruits and vegetables when I can.. I surf sometimes too." She smiled, her hand resting on her cheek. "Ah, that's a lot of hobbies, isn't it?" she asked, half jokingly.

"Heh, I suppose so..." Natalya smiled slightly. "Do you like to read?" she asked. The Belorussian loved reading. It was her little escape from the world around her, filled with idiots. Then again, there are always characters that are idiots... But there are always a few decent ones, some she liked even more than that as well. Though enough of fiction, she enjoys nonfiction, especially old newspapers. They're just so interesting! "I do...It's what I usually do in my free time..." she went on.

"Reading is great on the beach when it's cooler. With the sunset, it's nice too." Rena smiled, nodding. She smiled, putting her hand onto Chica. "What kind of books do you usually read?" she asked, her voice a bit less shy.

"Usually anything dealing with the supernatural, be it fiction or nonfiction. But I also read old newspapers a lot. Surprising what sort of things are in the headlines," Natalya said. She looked at the chicken. "I don't know about reading on the beach, since I didn't grow up around one..." she added. "But outside under a tree is nice, or inside by the window," she went on.
